What we collect
When you request a book or subscribe to the letters, we ask for a first name and an email address. The special report asks for a little more — your state, one yes-or-no question about the size of your tax-deferred retirement accounts, and your acknowledgment that the report contains hypothetical projections — so that it reaches readers for whom it is relevant. When you ask the author a question, we keep the question with your name and email so it can be answered. A phone number is always optional, and we call only if you check the box asking us to. Forms on this site are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, and the addresses are kept in our email service so we can send what you asked for. We do not sell or rent the list to anyone, and we run no advertising on this site.
Questions sent through “Ask the author” are answered as general education. We will quote a question in a letter only if you gave permission on the form, and never with your name or identifying details.
What we send
The book or guide you requested, then the letters — short, most weeks, one idea each. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and it works the first time.
Visitor identification — please read this part
This site runs visitor-identification technology supplied by Elite Wealth Network, Inc.
(WebTrafficCAM™), a company in which the author has an ownership interest. It loads a script
from id.webtrafficcam.com on every page.
You should understand plainly what that does, because it goes further than ordinary web analytics. For some visitors, the service can associate the visit with an identified person — a name, a postal address, an email address — drawn from third-party data sources, without you entering anything. It also records which pages were visited, in what order, and for how long.
We use it to understand which subjects readers of this library actually care about, and it may be used to decide whether to send you material about them. We do not sell it. Identification is not the same thing as your consent to be contacted, and we treat it that way.
If you would rather not be identified here, write to bruce@insideyourretirement.com and say so, and we will suppress you. You may also browse with a tracking-blocking extension or in a private window, which will generally prevent it.
Cookies, logs and analytics
The identification service described above sets its own identifiers. Beyond that, the site sets no advertising cookies. Our host may record ordinary server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited — for security and performance. Fonts are served from this site’s own server.
Your rights
Write to bruce@insideyourretirement.com at any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, to be removed from the letters, or to be suppressed from the visitor identification described above. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your state’s privacy law; ask and we will honour them.
